THE DRONETRAILS ADVENTURE
Our Story
Magnus Hafthorsson
The founder of DroneTrails
We understand that flying a drone in Iceland can feel overwhelming.
From navigating the rules and regulations to finding the perfect locations, it’s easy to get anxious and frustrated. We’ve been there.
Magnus Hafthorsson, started as an enthusiastic drone pilot who quickly realized the challenges of flying in a place as beautiful as Iceland. He felt the stress of following rules, avoiding crowds, and struggling to get the perfect shot without disturbing others. But along the way, something amazing happened—every time he met another drone pilot, there was an instant connection. Stories, tips, and advice were exchanged, and lifelong friendships were made.
This experience of community and connection inspired Magnus to create DroneTrails—a space where drone pilots of all levels can explore Iceland’s most stunning landscapes without the stress. We take you to the best locations, give you the time and space to fly freely, and offer a supportive environment where you can capture the perfect shot.
Whether you’re an experienced flyer or a beginner, DroneTrails is about more than just drones. It’s about discovering Iceland from the skies, sharing unforgettable moments, and becoming part of a community that’s as passionate as you are.
